Who Can Nominate?
If you live in South Australia, you can nominate a candidate for appointment as an Adelaide Thinker in Residence. Nominations are welcome from South Australian organisations wishing to contribute to matching funding for an appointment and keen to be involved in designing a program for the Thinker in Adelaide.
Selection Criteria for Appointment as an Adelaide Thinker in Residence
- highly regarded internationally, with credibility and experience in their field
- Engaged in work which is strategically aligned to South Australia's priorities and future
- Capable of delivering tangible outcomes and benefits for the State by working strategically with whole of government, non-government, business, industry and community organisations
- A creative, lateral and original thinker, able to make their own processes explicit, invite new ways of thinking and synthesise original and local thought
- Known to South Australian leaders in one or more of the cultural, scientific, government, academic, industry or community fields
- Able to work collaboratively, in interdisciplinary ways, engaging with high-level decision-makers, with other experts, with non-experts and with community members
- Able to speak publicly in ways which are accessible and comprehensible
- Able and willing to actively promote South Australia during and after the residency.
